The Forever Joy Scholarship is presented in honor of Joy Marie Burt. This full tuition scholarship will be awarded to children ages 8-14 in need of financial assistance  in order for them to attend our Children’s Summer Theatre Workshop of which Joy Marie was so fond.

Mystic Vision Players continues our commitment to helping promote the arts for all of our youth with the Continue The Vision Scholarship. All graduating high school seniors enrolled outside of Linden High School who have participated in MVP productions, either on- or off-stage and plan to continue their education are eligible for this scholarship. Applicants should have a strong academic record and a history of participation in the performing arts.

Continue the Vision Scholarship Criteria:
1. Awards will be made only to Senior students who do not attend Linden High School 
2. Applicants must have participated (on or off stage) in at least one Mystic Vision Players Stage Production. Please include all relevant history on the attached form.
3. Applicants must provide at least two letters of recommendation: one from a Performing Arts teacher and one from an academic subject teacher.
4. Scholarships will be awarded based on: 

    a. Academic Achievement    
    b. Contribution to the School & Community
    c. Extra-Curricular Activities
    d. Financial need will be considered but will not be a determining factor. 

~ Application must be signed by both the student and a parent or guardian.

~ Applicant’s most recent school transcripts or copy of report card must be provided 

~ Information supplied on the application will be reviewed only by the scholarship committee and will be held in the strictest confidence.

THIS YEAR'S RECIPIENTS OF THE ROSE SCHOLARSHIP!

The Rose Scholarship, presented in the name of Judith Rose Stiskin-Faranello, is awarded annually to seniors graduating from Linden High School (Linden, NJ) who have had a vested interest in the arts  to ensure that her influences will always be remembered. 

Judy was an extremely talented young woman who performed and directed productions not only locally, but also traveled around the world with several well-known Broadway productions including Hair and Smokey Joe’s Café. Back at home, she was very involved with directing and producing theatre her in Linden and all over the state of New Jersey.
