A graduate of the acclaimed Westminster Choir College with a Bachelor ofMusic in Music Education, Howard has been the director of choral activities at Long Branch Middle School for 10 years where he leads the choirs and works with the drama club on their annual productions. Before that, he worked in Linden Public Schools for two years producing Into The Woods at McManus MS and directing the after school choral program at Soehl MS while directing the choirs and music directing award winning productions of Crazy For You and Damn Yankees at Linden HS.
Outside of public education, he has performed in and music directed productions up and down the East Coast from the Orlando Opera Company to Boston Conservatory and has dircted the Children's Summer Theatre Workshop since 2006. Former students have appeared on TV's American Idol and in numerous Broadway and regional productions including Jersey Boys, Mary Poppins, Cats and Hamilton!
Courtney is a Music Teacher at McManus Middle School (Linden, NJ) where she directs multiple choirs, teaches general music classes, and directs/produces the musical.
A talented musician and performer, Courtney is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, musical theatre, and voice. In May 2013, after studying both education and performance, she graduated from Immaculata University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. Courtney is currently continuing her education at Montclair State University where she will graduate with honors and a Master of Arts in Music Education in May 2019. Outside of school, Courtney has taught dance and voice at both recreational and competitive levels for the last five years. Additionally, she is the Assistant Director of the Drama Club at Glen Ridge High School. Courtney is so excited to join the MVP team and spend the summer working with some of her best friends and favorite students.
Rachel is so excited to be back working on another MVP show after a two year hiatus. A true veteran, she performed in the first ever CSTW production, School House Rock Live Jr. in 2001, in addition to music directing Honk Jr. in 2010 and stage managing Into the Woods Jr. in 2015.
An avid dancer and performer, Rachel is trained in tap, jazz, hip-hop, and musical theatre. She has also recently been back on stage as Frieda in MVP’s A Charlie Brown Christmas in both 2015 and 2017. In 2014 she graduated from The College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education.
As a graduate of Linden Public Schools, Rachel is happy to be back to her roots teaching elementary school and choreographing/producing the musical at McManus Middle School. Rachel is so happy to combine her love of teaching and musical theatre for a summer of fun with some of her best friends and students.
